Volume & Hearing Safety Simple rules

DJing is fun, but ears are not rechargeable. BEATCAMP teaches safe listening habits early.

  • Headphones on if others are nearby (or if they’re practicing quietly).
  • Start volume all the way down, then raise it slowly.
  • Take short breaks. Tired ears make everything sound “weird.”
Parent pro tip: if they’re using speakers, place the device a little farther away. “Closer” often becomes “louder.”

Junior DJs usually start with curiosity and button-pressing. Then something cool happens: they begin making decisions on purpose.
